Dokzaal

The Dokzaal is located in the heart of Amsterdam. This former church hall was built in 1872 and has, among other things, served as a printing house. Later it was used as a gymnasium of a technical school. In 2010 the hall was completely renovated to its former glory.

First of all, the Dokzaal, together with the Dokhuis Galerie, is the collective space of the Dokkers: a joint space for meeting and exchanging. All kinds of events are organized by the dokkers, for each other and for people from outside with an explicit open door policy, everyone is welcome!

In addition, the bright and spacious room is also rented out for debates, meetings, courses, theater rehearsals, performances, and as a film and photography set, exhibition space and other cultural activities.
