Encounter with delegates from the Indigenous National Council (CNI) and the Center of Human Rights Fray Bartolomé de las Casas (Frayba) – Mexico
9 October 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
How can the struggle from indigenous communities in Mexico concern us? Which are the invisible threads that weave together the struggles?
During this event we will welcome the delegation of the Indigenous National Council (CNI) and the Center of Human Rights Fray Bartolomé de las Casas (Frayba) to share their stories of struggle.
This event is a continuation of the Zapatista Journey for Life that happened in the Netherlands two years ago, and organized by Gira Holanda.
Because whenever there is oppression there is resistance, the CNI and Frayba are traveling through Slumil K’ajxemk’op, the Land that Does Not Surrender, the Europe from Below, to weave and strenghten networks of solidarity in defense of life, here and there.
During this evening we invite collectives, organizations and individuals to gather and to continue weaving networks of solidarity in defense of life. We will create a space where the delegation can share their words, struggles and perspectives; and where these can be mirrored and resonated by the struggles and realities lived in the Netherlands.
Besides the dialogue, questions and contributions, there will be music, drinks, and merchandise to
collect funds to support the tour of delegation members from Mexico to the Netherlands, and throughout Europe.
