Maurice Albert Jan (1988) is an artist based at the Plantage Doklaan in Amsterdam. Drawing from natural forms, craft and modernist influences, his work explores how objects can shape the atmosphere of a room as much as serve it.
Moved by a need to create and understand, he works in close dialogue with natural materials, form, and proportion, allowing each piece to reveal its own direction. The result is work that is shaping space through a grounded, tactile presence.
