Muziekavond in de Dokhuiskelder
Intiem en intimiderend. Een ontmoetingsstek voor muzikanten en een ontsmettingsplek voor doorgedragen zielen. Aan tafel na het eten, op het podium en in je hoofd.
20u30: Almudena Rubio
Political songs, love songs… Folk music? I have always thought that my songs, obviously not all, were love songs. But nothing farther! They are songs of heartbreak, of loss, of tireless struggle to survive a situation that oppresses us and hurts us. They are sad songs with incredible melodies that encourage us to fight and survive
21u00: Baque Flamingo (Maracatu de Baque Virado)
Baque Flamingo is a collective founded in 2019 and we play Maracatu de Baque Virado, an afro-indigenous cultural manifestation from Recife – Brazil.
We play and sing to bring about change, connection and empowerment in ourselves and around us. For queer liberation, anti-racism, economic equality, feminism, environmentalism, and religious freedom.
We act in solidarity with communities that actively resist and build alternative ways of living and organizing. That is why it is so important to us to learn from Maracatu Nations in Recife/Brazil and support their continued manifestation and resistance.
22u00: Spiros Mastoras en co (Rebetika & more)
